
The Blue Water Curling Club is now accepting applications for the Position of CLUB MANAGER for the 2025-26 curling season. We are looking for someone who has a passion for curling, and the ability to manage the daily operations of our curling facility.
The position is a seasonal, part-time position, commencing on September 1st, 2025 and running through until April 5th, 2026. Duties can generally require 20-25 hours per week. Some weeks may be more, some may be less, depending on the events for that week. Although the hours are somewhat flexible, there are requirement for the manager to be at the facility during the day at certain times throughout the year. Captial Renewal Project
As part of our ongoing updates and renewals around the club, the Board has decided to take advantage of a Charitable Tax Receipting program though the Curling Council of Ontario. More information on this program is available at Charitable Tax Receipting Program – Ontario Curling Council.
Our goal is to have a yearly campaign that will allow for continuous capital improvments around the club. Anything from the ice plant, ice shed, or accessability enhancements.
The program is run and administered by the Ontario Sports Network under the National Sport Trust Fund initiative - About NSTF (ontariosportnetwork.ca)
There is a nominal cost to this program, as follows:
Program Fees
- NSTF-Ontario fees are $2.00 per tax receipt plus a 4% commission on all donations.
- (ex. $100 donation – ($4.00 commission & $2.00 for tax receipt) = $94.00 directed towards your project)
- Application fee of $50.00 per project.
- For project extensions from 1 year to the next, a Renewal fee of $25 per project.
